Believe it or not but the sheet metal on a 280 is much thicker than a 240z.

The 280 is know as the heavy pig of the S30 line at 2800 lbs a full 500 more than a 240 and with only 20 more HP.

I’ve always admired the simple engineering of the S30. So much thought went into the car and some items were executed brilliantly while others were like a second thought.

Neat, I think most of my Z stuff is gone, but I kept some of the specific tools timing chain tool, carb synchro etc . I think I even have the jig for the rear control arms (to make tubular control arms) and the knuckle shorteners (for faster steering) kicking around somewhere as well if you make it ever make it up here (those are on the heavier side to ship back and forth) .
